So people always only choose the animal they think suits them best, or the one they feel is the coolest. However, we don’t pick our spiritual creatures.
For all beings on earth today a crucial part of life is that they can differentiate between what we want and what we don’t want. We grow a natural instinct to defend ourselves from life-threatening circumstances. Although this differentiation can seem very natural and straightforward, the things about who we are and do not like to tell us a lot.
Spirit animals have recently reached the mainstream with people across the Internet seeking to understand what theirs is. So people always only choose the animal they think suits them best, or the one they feel is the coolest. But, to the disappointment of those who desperately wish to make themselves a wolf, not our supernatural creatures are selected by us.
Our spiritual animals reflect our lives strongly. We reflect our particular behavior, thought patterns and behaviors, and have many ideas about who we really are as people in terms of insight.
Where can I find my animal of spirit?
Spiritual animals come to us in a number of ways, but the one we fear most is the one most people appear to overlook. Were you especially afraid of any animals for any reason? These are the animals that give you the greatest growth potential.
You could have had a terrible encounter with this animal that haunts you until now, or you could have had an encounter you love and enjoy. Regardless of your connection to the species, this species lightens the senses as if you were a Christmas tree. We may mirror these animals or creatures back to our own by looking at them in their natural lifestyles.
When I was camping on the base of a mountain, my spiritual animal came to me recently and walked the next morning. With my headlamp turned on, I was searching for firewood in the dark. I could sense anything moving as I walked through the dark forest, but I knew what it was before I nearly came face to face. I was taken out of control and half-to-death shocked. But it was quiet and lay comfortably on the field.
A white-tailed stag with tall, beautiful forefathers and his wife watched me all the time. I quickly gathered some wood and went to the camp to tell my partner what happened, and the pair of deer just finished speaking to us where they spent the night feeding and resting. At first, I wanted to frighten them because they were looking at us from a distance and put me on my back, but I was calm and grateful at having stayed.
I started to think about it and found that the deer was still calm around me and me. In the years I stood just two feet from a stag or a doe and stuck out my hand to sniff me, on several occasions. Occasionally even as I kept walking, they would track me.
Learning about deer and how they work allowed me to think about who I was. They are highly intelligent, gentle-natured people who live peacefully in one of Earth’s most beautiful locations. I knew I was looking out for myself the same thing. I look for inspiration now to the stag. Often in motion, with grace and compassion through life, fighting when it is necessary, but still finding peace.
